Truro Fire Department was established in 1930 by Colonel Richard McGee with one engine housed at his farm (Cobb Farm).

Currently the Truro Fire Department is staffed by fulltime Firefighter EMTS, and Paramedics.

The Truro Fire Department provides year-round fire prevention and suppression services, fire inspections, and emergency response. It is the department’s mission to protect the lives and property of the people in Truro and those who visit our town from fires, natural and man-made disasters, and hazardous material incidents; to save lives by providing emergency medical services; to prevent fires through prevention and educational programs
